🪵 Logs You'll Use for Construction

• Regular logs: Used for basic furniture (levels 1–19)
• Oak logs: Main XP source from levels 19–74
• Teak logs: Best XP/log from 35–74+ (Planks required)
• Mahogany logs: Slowest to obtain, best XP/log late game
• Bank all logs from Woodcutting for future use

🪚 Making or Finding Planks (Ironman-Safe)

• Sawmill: Located northeast of Varrock
  • Use coins to convert logs to planks
  • Bring noted logs + coins for convenience
• Wilderness Plank Spawns: Found around Lava Maze, Graveyard of Shadows, and eastern ruins
• Slayer Drops: Some monsters drop noted planks, nails, or mahogany logs (e.g., Gargoyles, Dust Devils)
• Temple Trekking: Survivors and looters can reward logs/planks
• Mahogany homes (optional): Once unlocked, provides XP + planks + coins

Levels 1–19: Crude Chairs & Bookcases

• Use regular planks from Wilderness or converted logs
• Build Crude chair, Bookcase, and Wooden shelves in Parlour/Kitchen
• ~100 regular planks gets you to 19

Levels 19–33: Oak Chairs

• Use oak logs + sawmill → oak planks
• Build Oak chairs in Parlour (2 planks each)
• ~400 oak planks needed

Levels 33–52: Oak Larders

• Switch to Kitchen room → build Oak Larders (8 planks per)
• Very fast XP, great for midgame goals
• ~2,400 oak planks gets you to 52

Levels 52–74: Oak Dungeon Doors

• Build in Dungeon room → Oak doors (10 planks per)
• Best oak method until Teak becomes faster
• ~8,000–10,000 oak planks for 52–74

Optional 35–74: Teak Benches (Faster XP)

• Teak logs from Kourend, Ape Atoll, or Fossil Island
• Make planks via sawmill or plank make spell (Lunar)
• Faster XP, but more effort

Levels 74–99: Gilded/Expensive Options

• Mahogany Benches in Dining Room (expensive but fast XP)
• Gilded Altars (useful for Prayer training!)
• Mounted Glory, Portal Nexus, Jewelry Box — real POH value begins here
• ~50k–70k mahogany planks needed (or mix with oak doors)

Useful POH Upgrades for Ironmen

• Mounted Amulet of Glory – easy access to Edgeville/Karamja
• Teleport Portals – save runes for getting around
• Altar Room – use for training Prayer efficiently
• Workshop: Repair Barrows gear, make Clockworks (for Birdhouses)
• Kitchen: Useful for making tea, boosting Construction +3
