OSRS Ironman Crafting Guide (1β99)
Turn what you gather into XP β hides, gems, sand, and seaweed. Crafting is one of the most Ironman-compatible skills.
π₯Ύ Start With: Gathered Resources
- Leather: Cow hides (Lumbridge), Tanning shops (Al Kharid)
- Hard leather: Collected from Slayer monsters like Kalphites, Crawlers
- Dragonhide: Loot from Green/Blue/Red/Black dragons, noted or tanned
- Gems: Drops from:
- Mining (Shilo gem rocks)
- Gem bags (Slayer), TzHaar, Guardians of the Rift
- Dragon Implings (Hunter)
- Molten glass: Collect
sand + seaweed and use Superglass Make
Levels 1β20: Leather Crafting
- Kill cows β tan hides β make
leather gloves, boots, chaps
- Use a needle + thread on tanned hides
- ~200 hides gets you to 20
Levels 20β46: Hard Leather / Gems / Early Glass
- Use hard leather for bodies (1 hide = 1 item = decent XP)
- Cut
sapphire, emerald, ruby if you've stocked gems
- Optional: Use
Molten glass to make beer glasses, orbs, vials
Levels 46β61: Molten Glass Method
- Gather buckets of sand (Ardougne, Yanille) + seaweed/giant seaweed (Piscatoris, Fossil Island)
- Use
Superglass Make on Lunar spellbook (Level 77 Magic required)
- Make
orbs, vials, lantern lenses β bank everything
Alternative 46β70+: Battlestaves (Post-Varrock Diary)
- Buy staves daily from Zaff (Varrock), then add orbs
- Use
Fire/Water/Air/Lightning Orbs from Magic β Craft onto staves
- Good passive XP β combine with High Alching for value
Levels 61β84: Green Dragonhide Bodies (If banked)
- Kill green dragons β collect hides + crafting XP
- Use
Needle + Thread to make vambraces β chaps β bodies
- Each hide gives 186 XP β great rate if you stack hides over time
Levels 84β99: Red/Black D'hide OR Giant Seaweed Glass
- Red d'hide from Red Dragons, Wilderness Slayer, clues
- Black d'hide from Black Dragons, King Black Dragon, revenants
- Or continue Molten glass if youβre gathering Giant Seaweed passively
- Alternate: Craft cut dragonstones or higher gems if stocked from raids, clues, or bosses
